Privacy Policy

Microduck uses the information needed to operate this store, fulfil orders and answer support requests. WooCommerce may use necessary session cookies for the cart and checkout. Our first-party analytics stores event type, page path, product metadata, country code and time; it does not store IP addresses, names, email addresses, advertising identifiers or payment details. Once a shopping cart session exists, analytics may use a salted session identifier to connect checkout events. This does not create an additional tracking cookie or identify visitors who have not started a cart.

Orders and payments

When you place an order, WooCommerce stores the billing, shipping and contact details required to process it. Card information is handled by the active payment gateway through the checkout payment fields and is not included in our first-party analytics. Never send card details through the contact form.

Data requests

For access, correction or deletion requests, use the contact page. We retain order records only as long as needed for fulfilment, accounting and legal obligations.

Optional website analytics

With your permission, Microduck uses first-party analytics to measure which pages and buttons help visitors find products and complete checkout. We record page paths without query strings, approximate country, device category, external referrer domain and limited campaign labels. We do not collect form contents, raw IP addresses, full referrer URLs or advertising identifiers for this analytics.

The optional md_analytics_browser cookie contains a random identifier lasting up to 90 days. md_analytics_visit identifies a visit and expires after 30 minutes without activity. Only site-salted hashes of these identifiers enter our analytics storage. md_analytics_consent remembers your allow or reject choice for up to 90 days. Different devices, browsers or cleared cookies can count as different visitors; these figures do not identify a person.

You can allow, reject or withdraw optional analytics using “Analytics preferences” in the footer. Rejecting does not prevent shopping. Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track signals disable optional analytics. Existing WooCommerce cart cookies and operational order/payment records remain necessary to process orders. Where analytics permission is present when an order is created, the visit attribution is saved with that order so later payment-status events can be linked; withdrawing on this browser stops future browser tracking but does not erase previously recorded events or order attribution.

Analytics records are used for store reporting and retained while needed for that purpose; they are not sent to advertising networks. For a data request, use our contact page.

The same optional analytics choice also controls WooCommerce order-source attribution. When allowed, its sbjs_* cookies store source and campaign information, entry and referrer URLs (which may include query strings), and browser/device information for the session. Rejecting or withdrawing disables this optional collection and clears those browser cookies; it does not remove attribution already saved with an order.
