Microduck Accessories
Choose a pack for the activity you want to add: rotating spare batteries, maintaining the robot or exploring physical interactions. The packs below are optional purchases for Microduck MD-01.

Start with what is already in the robot box. The published MD-01 package contains the robot, a removable battery, a USB-C cable and a game controller. These accessory packs are separate; you do not need a development pack simply to use the included controller. See the first-use checklist.

| Your next activity | Pack to consider | What it adds | Check before ordering |
|---|---|---|---|
| Rotate spare batteries between sessions | Charger Pack | Two spare batteries and a dual-slot charger. | Follow the supplied charging instructions. Battery swaps require the robot to be fully powered off. |
| Keep maintenance parts and experiment methodically | Developer Pack | Motors, cables, batteries, charging hardware, NFC tags and hand tools. | Choose this for physical maintenance or development. It overlaps with the Charger Pack in batteries and charging hardware. |
| Try supervised games and interactions | Accessory Pack | Rollers, a ball, laser pointer, NFC photo card and ten NFC tags. | Check that the intended behaviour and any mode changes are supported by your installed software. |

What each pack adds
Charger Pack: prepare the next battery
Useful when you want spare batteries ready between play, demonstration or development sessions. Its dual-slot charger and two spare batteries let you organise charging away from the robot.
Power MD-01 off completely before swapping its battery. Use the supplied charging instructions; this comparison does not specify a power adaptor, charging rate or extra runtime.
Developer Pack: parts for planned work
Useful for owners preparing for maintenance practice, controlled repairs and physical experiments. The current store listing groups motors, motor cables, batteries, charging hardware, NFC tags and hand tools in this pack.
Document connections before changing hardware and test one change at a time. Owning spare parts does not replace the repair instructions. If your immediate goal is only controller use or exploring the simulator, begin with the usage guide.
Accessory Pack: props for supported behaviours
Useful for trying physical games and interactions in a supervised space. The current store listing includes rollers, a ball, laser pointer, NFC photo card and ten NFC tags.
Fit rollers while the robot is powered off, then follow the software instructions for the appropriate operating mode. NFC props and other accessories need compatible behaviours; fitting an accessory alone does not install or enable a behaviour.
Before fitting or using accessories
- Check compatibility and the task. Match the part or accessory to your robot and installed software. Ask support if the connection or fitting instructions are unclear.
- Power down first. Switch the robot off before changing batteries or fitting hardware. Keep fingers and loose cables clear of joints; standing still is not the same as being powered off.
- Prepare a clear, level surface. Allow space for the robot and props, away from edges and stairs. Supervise play and follow the laser pointer’s safety instructions; never aim it at eyes.
- Check the first action. Follow the version-matched control instructions and try one short, controlled action. If movement or stopping is unreliable, end the attempt and seek support before continuing.
